Michael Pak-shing Leung is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) since 2021. Prior to that he was Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California and before that a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Institute for Data, Systems, and Society. Among his editorial duties he is Associate Editor for the Journal of Econometrics, for the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, for the Econometrics Journal, and for Econometric Reviews. He holds a PhD in Economics from Stanford.
His research interests are broadly focused on econometrics and networks. He received the generous support of the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a 3-year project on Statistical Theory for Economic Models of Network Formation he completed in 2020.
