Portrait of David Viviano

Davide Viviano is Assistant Professor of Economics at Harvard University. He joined their Department of Economics this academic year after completing a one-year postdoctoral fellowship. Prior to that he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (sponsored by G. Imbens). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California at San Diego.

His primary research interests are in econometrics. His research combines economics and data science to develop or justify statistical methods for applications in social sciences, with a focus on policy design and causal inference.
