Mathias Andler is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Sciences Po working on a thesis entitled Essays in Financial Economics under the supervision of Guillaume Plantin. Mathias is also an Administrator at the Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques (INSEE).
His research focuses on using firm-level data to answer macroeconomics questions, with a focus on how financial frictions shape firm behaviour.
He will present a paper at the next Friday Seminar on the topic:

Clément Imbert is Professor of Economics at Sciences Po. He joined us in 2023 from the University of Warwick where he was a faculty member since 2015. Prior to that he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Economics and at Nuffield College (Oxford) for three years. He is a Full Member of the European Development Network (EUDN) and a Research Affiliate at the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD), at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and at the Abdul Latif Jameel – Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
His research interests span development, environment, labour, public economics, and political economy. His current research is on labour market programs, internal migration, and environmental issues in developing countries. He publishes regularly in the top-tier journals and is currently researching a ‘work package’ in the framework of a project that received an important Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR) grant last year - Preserving Africa's Forests Alongside Economic Development (AfrForDev).
He will present a paper, joint with John Firth, Rajat Kochhar, Anant Sudarshan, and Tiffany Tee, at the next Friday Seminar on the topic:
