Portrait of Clara Santamaria

Clara Santamaria is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department. She joined us from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (uc3m) in 2022. She is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). 

Her research interests span spatial economics, macro, and labour. Combining structural models with reduced-form evidence, Clara Santamaria’s research focuses on the role of spatial frictions in shaping different dimensions of inequality such as labour income, access to amenities, and gender disparities.

Portrait of Olivia Tsoutsoplidi

Olivia Tsoutsoplidi is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Sciences Po working on a thesis entitled Political Reservations and Representation of Women and Minorities, under the supervision of Julia CAGÉ. She is the recipient of a 4th year fellowship awarded by the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE). Last year she was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University. She is a Research Affiliate at Sciences Po's LIEPP.

Her research interests lie in the fields of political economy, economic history, development and labour economics.
