Paul Scott is Assistant Professor of Economics currently visiting this year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), on leave from New York University's Stern School of Business. Prior to joining Stern, he was Assistant Professor at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) from 2013 to 2016. He holds a PhD in Economics from Princeton.
His research focuses on empirical industrial organisation, agricultural economics, and microeconometrics. His research has been supported by the Center for Global Economy and Business and the Center for Sustainable Business Research. And in 2016 he was the recipient of the Brazilian Econometric Society Meetings' Award for best econometrics paper for his work Identification of Counterfactuals in Dynamic Discrete Choice Models.
He will present a paper, joint with Eduardo Souza-Rodrigues, Ted C. Rosenbaum, and Skand Goel, at an exceptional seminar this week, on the topic:
