Portrait of Jacob Conway

Jacob Conway is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He joined Booth in 2024 upon completing his PhD in Economics at Stanford. Prior to pursuing a PhD, Conway worked as a senior research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

His primary research fields are corporate finance and industrial organisation. He studies the causes and consequences of firms engaging with social, political, and environmental issues. He also has related research on regulation, polarization, and discrimination. A very promising academic, he was awarded a number of fellowships and research grants while undertaking his PhD and he won the 2024 Top Finance Graduate Award (HEC Paris).
