Daniel Gottlieb

Daniel GOTTLIEB is Professor of Managerial Economics and Strategy at the Department of Management of the London School of Economics (LSE), where he is also the Doctoral Programme Director and the Head of Research, as well as Head of Managerial Economics and Strategy Group. He is Co-Director of the Psychology and Economics Programme and Research Associate of Economic Theory Group of the Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD). Among his editorial duties, he is notably Co-Editor of Economica, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Political Economy and of the Geneva Risk and Insurance Review.

His research interests focus on the theory of contracts and behavioural economics, especially as they apply to insurance markets. His research blends theory with field experiments, lab experiments, and observational data. His work has been published in many top-tier international journals and he was awarded a consequential Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Grant last year.
