Monica Martinez Bravo

Monica MARTINEZ-BRAVO is Associate Professor at CEMFI. She is also a Faculty Affiliate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), a Member of the Council of the European Economic Association and of the Spanish Economic Association (AEE), a Senior Fellow at the Esade Centre for Economic Policy (EsadeEcPol) , a Research Affiliate at BREAD, at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and at the IGC.  Among her editorial duties, she is Member of the Director Board of the Review of Economic Studies.

Her research interests are in the fields of Political Economy and Economic Development. Her work has garnered national and international recognition. In 2021, she was awarded the Banco Sabadell Award for the best Spanish economist under 40. And in 2022 she was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grantee for her project Political Trust in Crisis: Determinants and Solutions (POLTRUSTLAB).
