Arnaud Costinot

Arnaud COSTINOT is Professor of Economics, visiting with us for the Spring semester on leave from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a Faculty Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Among his editorial duties, he is notably an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Economics, of the American Economic Review and of the Journal of Economic Literature.

His research focuses on international trade and he helped revive interest in David Ricardo’s Theory of Comparative Advantage. His work has garnered a number of awards and important National Science Foundation (NSF) grants. He was notably nominated in 2012 for the “Best Young French Economist under 40 Prize”, awarded by the Cercle des Économistes and Le Monde every year. The NSF awarded him back to back grants from 2012 to 2019.
