Benjamin FABER is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) and Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in Economics. He is also - notably - Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a Research Associate at the National Bureau for Economic Research (NBER), an Affliate at the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) and the International Growth Centre (IGC), and a Fellow at the CESifo Research Network. In 2020 he was named as Chair of Major Research Grant Committee, Private Enterprise Development in LowIncome Countries (PEDL). Among his editorial duties, he is Associate Editor of Econometrica.

His research is at the intersection of international trade and development economics.
