Mar REGUANT is Associate Professor at Northwestern University. She is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). She has a number of editorial activities: she is notably Foreign Editor of the Review of Economic Studies, Associate Editor of The RAND Journal of Economics and of the Journal of Industrial Economics, and Co-Editor of the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists.

She is specialised in Industrial Organisation and in the Economics of Energy, with an emphasis on electricity and the pollution associated with electricity generation. Her research has already garnered a number of distinctions: she was notably awarded the Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering (PECASE) and the 2019 EAERE Award for Researchers in Environmental Economics under the Age of Forty. As Prinicipal Investigator she has just completed an NSF-funded project Empirical Studies of Electricity Markets: The Impact of Renewable Energy.
