Costas Meghir

Costas MEGHIR is the Douglas A Warner III Professor of Economics at Yale University. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), an International Research Fellow at the Institute of Fiscal Studies (IFS) and affiliated to the American Economic Association, CEPR, IZA, and J-PAL. He has held a number of editorial duties, and was notably the Co-Editor of Economic Letters until last year.

His primary research interests are in labour economics, the economics of education, and development economics. His work has received a great number of awards and honours: he received the Ragnar Frisch Medal in 2000 and the Bodosakis Foundation awarded him in 1997 the “Best Greek Economist” Prize under 40. He is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of the British Academy, a Fellow of the Econometric Society and Fellow of the Society for Labor Economics.
