On November 25th, 2020 the Department of Economics joined the Association pour le Développement de la Recherche en Économie et en Statistique (ADRES) as an affiliated research laboratory.

ADRES is a « Groupement d’Intérêt Scientifique » whose goal is to encourage and to disseminate research in the fields of theoretical economics, applied economics, econometrics and statistics. It also aims to facilitate the placement of young researchers in these fields on both national and international job markets.

By providing an institutional, administrative and financial framework, ADRES seeks to provide the French scientific community specialised in theoretical and quantitative economics with the means to adapt to a challenging, international environment, more competitive than ever.

Among its activities, ADRES is notably responsible for the publication of the Annals of Economics and Statistics. It supports young doctors by organising a “journée doctorale” annually. It participates regularly in the organisation of conferences that have an international reach. And lastly, ADRES provides financial support for conferences, workshops, as well as exchange programmes with the international scientific community.

By joining the ADRES, the Department will become the 14th affiliated research lab, alongside other major French research units in economics (AMSE, CREST, HEC, PSE, TSE, X, etc.).
