Biography
Elia Sartori is Assistant Professor of Economics (tenure track) at the Università di Napoli Federico II (UNINA) since 2024. He is also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF) where he is responsible for the CSEF Junior Fellows Initiative, a programme designed to prepare students for PhD studies. Prior to that, he undertook postdoctoral research work at both institutions after Princeton University awarded him his PhD in Economics.
His primary research interest is Information Economics, with applications to auctions, tax audits and digital markets. He is also interested in behavioural finance. Although still early on in his academic career, his work has been recognised internationally: he is currently a 3-year Marco-Fanno Fellow, awarded by the Unicredit Foundation this year, he was awarded the Austrian Economic Association (NOeG) Young Economist Award in 2021, and he was a 3-year Unicredit Foscolo Europe Research Fellow awarded by the Bank of Italy in 2019.
