Biography
Morgane Richard joined the Department if September 2025 as an Assistant Professor (tenure track) after completing a year as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR).
She is a quantitative macroeconomist with research interests in housing, consumption and wealth inequality, and labour markets.
Considered to be one of its most promising graduating economics scholars, she was awarded a ‘No Strings Attached’ (NSA) Scholarship in the final year of her PhD in Economics at the University College London (UCL). And at the international level, she was selected for the prestigious 2024 REStud Tour for the European Job Market and was a finalist of the European Central Bank’s 2024 Young Economist Award. She is also the recipient of a number of teaching awards from UCL.
She holds a PhD in Economics from University College London (UCL) as well as a Master of Research in Economics. She also holds a Master in Science in Economics from Sciences Po Paris.
