Biography
Juan S. Muñoz-Morales is a CNRS researcher at Lille Économie Management (LEM) and at the IÉSEG Research Center on Family, Labor and Migration Economics (IFLAME) as well as an Assistant Professor of Economics at IÉSEG School of Management (Paris campus). Additionally, he is a Research Affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics ( IZA).
His research focuses on development and labour economics. His research focuses on understanding the link between education, labour markets, and public policy in developing countries. His recent research addresses how information and subsidies affect the relationship between education policies, the acquisition of skills, and the success in the labour market of individuals with very different characteristics. He publishes regularly in international peer-reviewed journals, both general and specialised. His research work has received a number of important grants and most recently (2025) from the Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) for a ‘Displaced Livelihoods Initiative’ and for the ‘Study of Artificial Intelligence on Education’.
Professor Muñoz-Morales will be staying with us for the Fall Semester 2025 and part of the Winter-Spring Semester (February 2026).
