Biography

Johannes Boehm is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at Sciences Po, currently on leave at the Department of International Economics of the Geneva Graduate Institute, and visiting at the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) in 2025-26. He is also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance, LSE, and an Affiliate of the CESifo Research Network.

Johannes works on macroeconomics, international trade, and industrial organisation. He is particularly interested in the determinants of firm productivity and the role that firms play in the process of economic growth.

Johannes has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at Princeton University in 2017/18 and has also taught at INSEAD and LSE. He holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics.
