Doctoral Programmes
The doctoral program in Sociology is designed to provide :
- comprehensive, internationally recognized training in all relevant areas of sociology;
- social science research methodology, including courses in qualitative and quantitative analysis;
- personalized support within the School of Research and in research centers, provided by highly committed and internationally recognized academic staff.
Professionalization in research is ensured by placing doctoral students in one of Sciences Po's research centers, where they can meet teams, collaborate on ongoing research projects, and take part in specialized seminars. They are also invited to participate in research contracts and projects funded by the European Commission. To this end, they can rely on the advice of Sciences Po's Mission Europe de la recherche (European Research Mission). Doctoral students in sociology benefit from the doctoral programs of CRIS, CSO, the Medialab, and the CEE.
Doctoral students can also attend a series of seminars offered by the School of Research.
