Civica European Certification
Awarded by the European University of Social Sciences — an alliance composed of ten world-class universities — the “CIVICA” Certification enables undergraduate students to highlight their competencies and knowledge related to contemporary European issues — whether political, economic, social, or environmental — by recognizing their understanding of European dynamics and their engagement in academic and civic activities within the CIVICA alliance.
How to obtain the CIVICA European Certification
The CIVICA European Certification is designed as a multidisciplinary introduction to European issues. It is open to all undergraduate students of the College, regardless of their program, major, or specialization. The validation criteria are as follows:
- Completion of two field experiences within the Civic Learning Programme framework (a first-year civic internship or a second-year individual or collective engagement project), along with the Capstone Project on a topic related to the themes of the certification;
- Participation in a learning activity in Europe, either through the European Week or by completing an Engage Course or an Engage International Activity during the third year at one of the partner universities of the CIVICA alliance;
- Completion of a Showcase Assignment under the supervision of an academic advisor.
