19:15 Retrouvez-nous en compagnie du « général punchline », Michel Yakovleff, pour une conférence consacrée à la Sécurité Internationale en 2024 – thème propulsé au premier plan de l’actualité internationale après le déclenchement de la guerre en Ukraine et les événements récents aux Moyen-Orient.
Au cours d’une présentation initiale, le Général vous présentera les enjeux sécuritaires et les dynamiques internationales. Puis, vous pourrez participer et animer une discussion avec le Général. Monsieur Michel Yakovleff est un général de l’Armée française, qui a notamment servi au sein des organes directeurs de l’OTAN. Il pourra vous partager son expertise et ses analyses pour nourrir votre regard critique.
Les futurs acteurs et décideurs du monde contemporain se doivent, en effet, de connaitre les enjeux et les dynamiques qui traversent les Nations.

Le Parlement des Étudiants poursuit ses conférences portant sur les institutions de notre République ! Le 14 février, Thierry Beaudet, président du Conseil économique, social et environnemental (CESE) sera reçu par le Parlement des Étudiants. Y seront évoqués entre autres l’avenir de la démocratie participative, ainsi que le futur de la 3ème assemblée consacrée par la Constitution.

A travers le témoignage de deux agriculteurs céréaliers et d'une doctorante en thèse sur un territoire de grandes cultures, nous explorerons les enjeux auxquels sont confrontés l'agriculture et les agriculteur.ices ainsi que les freins et leviers à une transition de notre système alimentaire.

SPNU is thrilled to invite you to its first conference of the semester on international humanitarian Law!
We will welcome Jean-Luc Prévoteau, legal adviser at the ministry of defence and teacher at Sciences Po Law School, and Rana Kharouf, judge assessor, Professor at PSIA and former advisor at the ICRC for Syria and in different UN Agencies (UNESCO, UNHCR and FAO).
We will discuss what is international humanitarian law from the point of views of both the States and the Civil Society. We will also debate on how States take into account their international commitments when leading operations, and how NGOs and Governements cooperation to ensure universal respect of international humanitarian law.

- How should AI be regulated? What governance framework should be put in place? What should be prohibited, limited or authorized? What precautionary, transparency or control measures should be taken?
- How is AI regulated internationally? What are the different approaches? How is the European AI Act a pioneering text in this field?
- How should generative AI be regulated? What about open source models?
- What are the prospects for European innovation in this sector?
The emergence of generative AI models (ChatGPT, Bard and others) in 2022 considerably accelerated the development of uses based on AI technologies. Several countries and international organizations began to consider a regulatory framework to prevent future harmful uses. The European Union, for its part, has been reflecting on this subject since 2021, when discussions around the AI Act began. Approved at the end of 2023, this regulation is a major step forward in the field. However, many points of divergence remain, particularly when it comes to regulating generative AI.
Raja Chatila is a professor emeritus at Sorbonne University. He has been chair of the IEEE Global Initiative on the Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems since 2016 and has been a member of France's National Digital Ethics Steering Committee since 2019. He also was co-chair of the Responsible AI Group of the Global Partnership on AI (2020-2023) and a member of the High Level Expert Group on AI to the European Commission (2018-2020).
Thomas Barreau is a public Affairs specialist with expertise on tech topics. He has been the chief lobbyist of the European startup ecosystem on the AI Act. His role consisted in raising awareness on startups' concerns and favour the emergence of European AI champions. He also was the Convenor of a Task Group dedicated to European SMEs and startups' needs regarding AI Standards within the CEN-CENELEC.
