LIEPP is happy to welcome three new PhD students 

Max Viskanic

Max Viskanic is pursuing his PhD in the LIEPP and Sciences Po Economics Department since 2017 under the supervision of Roberto Galbiati and Sergei Guriev. Originally from Italy, he holds a BSc in Philosophy and Economics from the London School of Economics as well as a Master in Economics from Sciences Po. Before joining the LIEPP he followed graduate courses at the Stockholm School of Economics as well as gained working experience in the private and public sectors. 

His research interests lie in Political Economics, Economic History as well as applied Microeconometrics. His initial work centres around the impact of Immigration and Refugee shocks on electoral outcomes.

Federico Danilo Filetti

Graduated from the Master in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi University in 2016, Federico joined the LIEPP and the Observatoire Sociologique du Changement (OSC) in September 2017, where he is pursuing his PhD in Sociology under the supervision of Emanuele Ferragina. In his dissertation, Federico explores the relations between labour market outsiderness and informal care regimes in Europe.

Paulus Wagner

DPaulus Wagner’s research at LIEPP Po focuses on connections between changes in welfare regimes and voting for radical and populist political parties amongst « advanced liberal democracies » during the 2010s. 

He finished a BA in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Vienna and the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow. After this, he completed an MA in International Political Economy at King’s College, London, and another research master’s in Social Sciences (specialisation: Comparative Development Studies) at EHESS, Paris.
