Sciences Po's History Department brings together a dynamic academic community of historians. It offers undergraduate, masters and doctoral students history courses informed of the latest international academic findings. It plays a key role in Sciences Po's preparatory school for "L'Agrégation d'histoire".
The Department takes initiatives to promote the study of History (for example, by creating an annual History day). It endeavours to foster ties with other History Departments in France and abroad (for example, by encouraging exchanges of Ph.D students and academic staff) and it organises international seminars in which professors, researchers, postgraduate students and undergraduates participate. It also invites and hosts visiting professors coming to teach at Sciences Po.
The Department works in close collaboration with Sciences Po's History Center.
