Administrative registration

Download all year long your certificate of studies

The administrative registration department, as well as the student aid, grants and scholarships, accommodation and student disability support teams are here to welcome you and to accompany you during your studies at Sciences Po.

Administrative registration is compulsory for all students attending all of Sciences Po’s campuses. The student administrative registration departments can help you with the administrative registration process either as a new or continuing student.

Administrative registration covers three important factors:

  • Social security coverage: this step is mandatory and is determined when you complete your administrative registration. Social security coverage covers you for the academic year.
  • Tuition fees: You will be required to pay for your tuition fees when you complete your administrative registration. The student administrative registration team will ensure that this is carried out in the most appropriate conditions. Information is given regarding how to calculate your tuition fees, the different methods of payment as well as paying in instalments.
  • Your student card: your student card allows you to access the library services as well as benefiting from numerous student reductions (transport and cultural activities). It is issued for the duration of your studies at Sciences Po. If you are a degree-seeking student, you will be sent a stamp allowing you to renew your student card.
  • Throughout the year, a team is here to help you answer your questions, issue your student card and if needed, any document required certifying your student status (proof of your student status, proof of your administrative registration etc.)

Information for students on Exchange Programs:

Have you recently been accepted to Sciences Po on one of the exchange programmes at either the undergraduate or graduate level? If so, here you will find useful information concerning your administrative and academic registration.

Exchange students will not need to pay tuition & fees while studying at Sciences Po, however non-EEA nationals will need to pay French social security fees. All of this is taken care of when you begin your administrative registration and apply for your student card.

Concerning your course registration, you will be contacted beforehand by the Academic Affairs Department (undergraduate students) or your Master’s Programme (graduate students) informing you of the correct procedure to follow. Information regarding the academic content of the undergraduate programme can be found here and a detailed list of all masters programmes open to exchange students here.

For further information, please follow the 7 easy steps as indicated on the International Affairs website.
