The LLM in Transnational Arbitration and Dispute Settlement (TADS LLM) of the Sciences Po Law School is most honored to announce its partnership further with the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC), a pioneer in the administration of Adequate/Appropriate Dispute Resolutions (ADRs).

Today’s signature is the culmination of over six years of collaboration between the Sciences Po Law School and CAM CCBC. Sciences Po's Director of Strategy and Development, Nathalie Jacquet, applauded the efforts of Professor Diego Fernandez Arroyo, Director of the TADS LLM, and Eleonora Coelho, current President of the CAM-CCBC, who have partnered to encourage a new generation of practitioners and young scholars in the field of arbitration.

Brazil is a pre-eminent space for arbitration in the world and understanding contemporary issues there ensures that the TADS LLM degree remains relevant. The rich variety of programs in the partnership will ensure a deep, and meaningful dialogue, connecting arbitration communities in Europe and Latin America. The partnership will reinforce its existing work on the Brazilian Arbitration Forum (hosted each fall in Paris) and the Advanced Course on International Arbitration (hosted each spring in Sao Paulo).

The partnership also looks to engage new forms of scholarship and applied learning, with an internship placement for students on the TADS LLM to gain pertinent experience in the field in Latin America and to provide a full scholarship for study on the TADS LLM.

This scholarship is symbolically important, as it will encourage personal and professional development opportunities for junior arbitration practitioners, while remaining relatively free of financial constraint. The scholarship also aligns to the collective ambitions of Sciences Po Law School and CAM CCBC to encourage true diversity in the field of arbitration.
