Back to Campus: 4 Unique Student Stories from the Nancy Campus

On Thursday, 31 August, 175 first-year students attended an official back to school ceremony on the Nancy campus in the presence of Mathias Vicherat, President of Sciences Po, Jeanne Lazarus, new Dean of the Undergraduate College, François Laval, Campus Director, Richard Laganier, Rector of the academic region of the Grand Est, Hélène Boulanger, President of the University of Lorraine, Mathieu Klein, Mayor of Nancy – President of the Métropole du Grand Nancy. Anke Rehlinger, Minister - President of Saarland and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in charge of cultural affairs and Olivier Rozenberg, Associate Professor at Sciences Po's Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics - President of the Scientific Committee of the Nancy Campus, each gave an inaugural lesson.

Established since 2000 in the Lorraine region, the Nancy campus hosts the geographical minor European Union, Franco-German partnership. A specialty which allows students to delve deeper into the geopolitical, economic and social issues of the European Union from a comparative perspective between France and Germany.

A strong local player, the campus has build a tight relationship with the University of Lorraine: two dual courses already exist (in law and economics) and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BASc) could soon be created in order to cross social sciences with technology and science, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
