Are the core classes taught in English and in French?
This depends on your choice of policy stream. Some policy streams are taught in English only. More information about the various policy stream options offered at the School of Public Affairs.

Where and when will I be able to find the course calendar?
Timetables for classes are generally available during the week of course registration.
Who should I contact if I have questions about the pedagogical content of a policy stream?
The academic coordinators of each policy stream are available to help answer questions related to the pedagogical content of a course. Please, consult their contact information.
How many students are in an average class?
Whenever possible and depending on the type of class, a course has on average 18 to 22 students. Some courses take place in an amphitheater and as such have a higher number of students.
How many students are enrolled in the MPP?
An average of 650 students are admitted every year in the MPP program.
Gap Year
When can I do a gap year?
Students can take a gap year between the 2nd semester and the 3rd semester (between M1 and M2); this gap year cannot replace a student's academic obligations.
To apply for a gap year, students should contact the academic coordinator of their policy stream.
Is it possible to attend classes during a gap year?
No it is not possible to attend classes during a gap year. Students do have the option of doing a semester of academic exchange with another university during their gap year.
What are the tuition fees during a gap year?
During a gap year, students have to pay 25% of their regular tuition fees. If students are doing an exchange program, they will have to pay the totality of their regular tuitions fees.
International academic exchanges
When can I go?
Students can take part in a semester of exchange during their 4th semester or during their gap year.
Where should I send my application?
Applications should be sent to the Sciences Po International Affairs Division. For more information on the minimum requirements, the required documents and the list of partner universities.
Do I need the authorization from the school?
Yes, before sending your application, you need to obtain the authorization from the Academic Advisor of your policy stream.
What are the tuition fees for such programs?
During an academic exchange, students pay the tuition fees that are applicable at Sciences Po. However, it is important to consider additional costs such as insurance, accommodation, and visa costs.
