This short series of video interviews with experts in food and agriculture explores key ideas and concepts at the heart of fostering more sustainable food systems — ones that deliver food security and nutrition while respecting human rights and planetary boundaries. This series is part of a graduate course on “Global Food Politics” at Sciences Po University, Paris, taught by Adjunct Professor Mr Chris Hegadorn.

Episode 4, Interview with Mateusz Ciasnocha, a third-generation farmer and CEO of European Carbon Farmers

Mateusz Ciasnocha, a third-generation farmer and CEO of European Carbon Farmers, leads a 700-hectare regenerative farm in northern Poland and works to accelerate agriculture’s transition toward climate-positive practices.

In this episode, Michelle Friedl, a Sciences Po student from Austria pursuing a dual degree in International Security with Freie Universität Berlin, speaks with Mr. Ciasnocha about the potential of carbon markets and regenerative agriculture to promote sustainability and climate resilience in food systems.
