Agnès Bastin, Prix de thèse sur la ville 2023

Agnès Bastin, a young doctoral student at CERI, was awarded the Prix de thèse sur la ville 2023 by the service interministériel Plan Urbanisme Construction Architecture et l’Association pour la promotion de l’enseignement et de la recherche en aménagement urbanisme for her thesis  Des métabolismes territoriaux en transformation ? Gouvernance des matériaux de chantier et expérimentations de nouvelles valorisations en Île-de-France et dans la région de Bruxelles (defended in 2022) under the supervision of Eric Verdeil.

Organised by PUCA (Plan Urbanisme Construction Architecture) and APERAU (Association pour la Promotion de l'Enseignement et de la Recherche en Aménagement Urbanisme), the City Thesis Prize rewards the best doctoral theses defended in France or abroad, written in French:

- revealing new or renewed ways of grasping the contemporary challenges of the city, the urban phenomenon, and of understanding its transformations, including from a historical approach ;

- helping to shed light on, and even challenge, action on the city and urban areas, and the activities of all urban operators, whether in the context of their public policies, professional practices or urban management.
