Zeynep Yildirim

Zeynep YILDIRIM is a graduate of Galatasaray University where she obtained a Diploma in Law and an LLM. Having been awarded a Jean Monnet Scholarship by the European Commission, she received an LLM in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics.

She has worked, most recently, as a case-processing lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights from 2009 to 2013, prior to which she interned at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg and worked as a lawyer in an international law firm in Istanbul.

In 2013 Zeynep joined the PhD programme of the Sciences Po Paris Law School. Her areas of interest and research include transnational law; new sources, dynamics and logic of norm production; and international adjudication. Her current work seeks to explore the role of non--]national settings in law and policy making as well as its possible implications for legal theory. She focuses on three international adjudicatory mechanisms, namely, the European Court of Human Rights, the World Trade Organisation Dispute Settlement System and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.

She is teaching "International Human Rights Law" at Sciences Po Paris at the undergraduate level; besides, she is teaching assistant for the course "Law in a World of Multiple Legal Orders" (spring 2014).
