Originally from Singapore, Milton joined Baker McKenzie in 1990 after graduating from King’s College, London. He worked in London for two years and after qualifying as a solicitor an opportunity arose for a two year secondment to the Firm's Hong Kong office after which the plan was to go back to Singapore. As he has commented that two year attachment is now in its 27th year.

Milton took over as Chair on October 17, 2019, at our Annual Meeting in London, and will serve a four-year term. Previously, Milton was Chief Executive of our Joint Asian Offices and his election marks another proud moment in our Firm's history as the first Asian Chair. He has consistently been recognized as a leading lawyer in his field by Chambers, IFLR1000 and Legal 500, with the latter labeling him as "the pioneer of Hong Kong REITs".
