Order data
References from the CDSP Banque de données can be downloaded from the data.sciencespo.fr repository. Data disseminated by the CDSP are available either as open-access data or with access restricted to the academic community (researchers, students, research engineers, etc.), under a CC BY licence. Users must accept the Terms of Use before downloading data. These terms require secondary users to respect data integrity, properly cite the data and preserve respondents’ anonymity.
First Login or Registration
To download data from the CDSP Banque de données, you must log in to data.sciencespo.fr. If you belong to a French academic institution, we recommend using your institutional email address via the RENATER identity federation.
Alternatively, you can create an account by clicking “Sign Up for a Dataverse Account” and manually entering the information about your status.
Subsequent logins
If you first logged in through the institutional directory, your institution will appear above “Please select”. From then on, click on your institution to log in. If the institution’s name no longer appears, you will need to select it again from the drop-down menu.
If you created an account, click “Other Options – Username/Email” and enter your login details.
Downloading files
Once logged in, go to the “Files” tab of the reference you are interested in. If the files you wish to download are openly accessible, simply click the icon to the right of the file. The available download options, including file formats, will then be displayed. To download several files from the same reference, select them and click the “Download” button in the top-right corner. The files will be downloaded as a single ZIP archive.
If access to a file is restricted (indicated by a padlock icon), select the file or files you are interested in and click the “Request Access” button in the top-right corner.
If you wish to download files from several different references, you will need to submit a separate request for each one.
Requests for restricted files are generally processed by the CDSP’s research engineers within 48 hours.
