Terms and conditions of library bookable spaces
On Paris campus.
During the exam period (Tuesday April 7 - Sunday May 10), the reservation rules change, to allow as many people as possible to work in the library. Consult the news to find out everything about seat regulation!
- A place reserved but not actually occupied for more than 30 minutes is considered free. The staff reserves the right to cancel the reservation not honored under these conditions.
- A maximum of 6 hours’ booking, either consecutive or split into separate periods, per day and per user.
- Validation of arrival authorized by a system which verifies the location of the smartphone. Validation of arrival can be done at welcome desk if necessary.
Individual seats and group spaces are reserved for Sciences Po students only.
Common rules for bookable seats and group study rooms
- Only the 5th and 4th floors of the Saint-Guillaume library and the silent zone of the Saint-Thomas Library can be booked for individual seating. All other spaces are freely accessible.
- Bookings are taken 3 days in advance at noon.
- Students must respect the seat number indicated on their booking, with the help of the using seat numbering maps.
- To confirm his arrival, he must "flash" the QR code placed at the end of the table (check-in) or ask the staff who will confirm the reservation for him.
- Confirmation of the booking will be verified by a location system(*) or at welcome desk.
- Students have 30 minutes after the start of their slot to confirm their arrival, failing which the reservation is automatically cancelled.
- If the student leaves before the end of the reserved time slot, he/she scans the QR code to check out, or asks the staff to do so.
- If a student is absent for more than 30 minutes, the place is considered free and can be taken by someone else.
- In the event of any difficulty or request for regulation, students should contact the staff at the library reception desk.
- It is forbidden to consume food or drinks (with the sole exception of those in closed containers).
(*) The Libcal application uses your device's location, which you must accept to activate. You must be present within the perimeter of the campus to validate your arrival. If you do not wish your device (smartphone, computer) to be located, you can confirm your arrival with library staff.
Additional rules for group study rooms
- Group study rooms are reserved exclusively for Sciences Po students.
- They are reserved for groups of 2 people minimum to 6 people maximum.
- Booking is limited to 2 hours per person per week.
