New configuration of the Library

All you need to know about the new distributions of collections and services.

From now on, we won't speak anymore of 199 and Libraries at 30 and 27, but you will hear about “Saint-Guillaume Library” (at number 27), “Saint-Thomas Library” and the “Research Library” (in Gribeauval courtyard at 1, Place Saint-Thomas d’Aquin).

On January 10th, Saint-Guillaume Library re-open with a new service, on the 3rd floor: Onsite consultations.

On January 24th, Saint-Thomas Library and the Research Library opened their doors for the first time. At the heart of the new campus and very bright, they offer quality spaces. You can already discover it on the Instagram account Jo in Bibli of our student employee: Amel.

From January 24th, the three libraries will operate at the same time (during the teaching period):

  • monday to friday from 8am to 11pm
  • saturday from 9:30am to 9:30pm

Research Library:

  • 9.400 materials (non-borrowed)

Saint-Thomas Library:

  • 20.000 materials

Saint-Guillaume Library:

  • 21.000 materials
  • Newspapers, Journals, Magazines

  • Education

You can borrow direct access materials and return them in both buildings on the Self service machines (please put your materials in the return box).

Good to know

1 Saint-Thomas campus give you access to 5 printers including 2 in colors:

  • Colors are in the Lobby (entrance of the Library), in Saint-Thomas Library and in the Research library
  • Black and white printers are in the cafeteria

Saint-Thomas Library offers two new reserved spaces set up for readers with disabilities in the Lobby, spacious and fully equipped, they can be booked under certain conditions.

The seats booking system is not modified at Saint-Guillaume Library: only seats on floors 3, 4 and 5 are under reservation.

At Saint-Thomas Library, only seats in the silence zone are under reservation (on the left of the second welcome desk). In other words, it concerned all wood tables except tables stuck to the wall.

Upcoming news

You will be able to choose the place where you want to pick up your books from closed stacks.

  • We are launching hold lockers at Saint-Thomas and Saint-Guillaume. For the time being, all your materials are to be collected at the welcome desk of Saint-Guillaume Library.
  • You can consult your patron account directly on the Sciences Po app and follow the status evolution of your requests.

Sanitary measures

  • Wearing your mask remains MANDATORY: it must cover your nose and mouth at all times.
  • Washing your hands must be done frequently.

Any failure to respect these gesture barriers will be subject to sanctions by Sciences Po.

Group work room at Saint-Guillaume Library remains closed due to a lack of ventilation.
