From May 14 to August 1, the summer card is back!

Whether you are a high school student, university student or professional, you can obtain our summer card free of charge.

It gives you access to:

  • Our reading rooms;
  • Our print collections (you can borrow as much as you want during the validity period of your summer card*);
  • Our digital collections (only on site).

*All your borrows must be returned before the 1st of August, if not, penalties will be applied.

The procedure for obtaining a summer card is simple:

  1. Fill in the registration form and confirm your request via the link in the automatic email entitled ‘confirm your registration request’.
  2. Attach proof of address dated within the last three months in your name (French or foreign addresses accepted);
  3. Attach a passport photo in jpeg format if you have never been registered before;
  4. Send the confirmation of receipt of the form, proof of address and passport photo to inscription.bib@sciencespo.fr;
  5. Wait for a response to your request by email within three working days;
  6. Collect your card from the reception desk at the Saint-Guillaume Library (only if you have never had a card before);
  7. Make the most of the Sciences Po Library's services until the library closes for the summer on Friday 1 August!

Some key information to know:

The Sciences Po Library is located on two sites:

  • The Saint-Guillaume Library, 27 rue Saint-Guillaume
  • The Saint-Thomas Library, 1 place Saint-Thomas d'Aquin

We invite you to read the collections repartition between the two sites before coming.

Our summer opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our printed collections in the reading rooms represent only a small part of our holdings. To explore the entire collection, we recommend using our Catalogue. From this interface, you can easily send your loan requests and choose your pick-up location (the reception desk at Saint-Guillaume, the automatic lockers at Saint-Guillaume, or the automatic lockers at Saint-Thomas).

Our digital collections are also accessible via the Catalogue. The Digital Library gives you access to certain archival collections and our digitised collections.

Seats on the 5th floor of the Saint-Guillaume Library are subject to reservation: before your visit, reserve your seat online to sit in these areas or choose one of the open-access areas.
