From 18 May

As of Monday, May 18, and until further notice, the Sciences Po library will resume very partially its activities, but only for Sciences Po researchers and doctoral students.

As of Monday, May 18, and until further notice, the Sciences Po library will resume its activities in full compliance with the conditions for the protection of the health of all.

This resumption will be very partial and gradual.

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to envisage a reopening of all the library's spaces and services to all our audiences.

Only the library on side 27 will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday in order to provide working spaces for researchers and academic staff of the permanent faculty as well as for doctoral students.

Not all the rooms of the library will be accessible and it will be necessary to make a half-day reservation.

Screening will be carried out at the entrance level of the building at 27 rue saint Guillaume.

If you are a doctoral student, you will have to present your student card with a certificate from the Doctoral School (this certificate is valid for one day and can be requested by email from the Doctoral School: ed.direction@sciencespo.fr) as well as the email confirming the reservation.

If you are a researcher, your "Research" business card and the booking confirmation email.

Wearing a mask will be obligatory throughout your stay at the library. In order to ensure all health safety rules, we invite you to respect the instructions given by the staff concerning :

  •  distance markings ;
  •  direction of traffic (on the way up > central column: stairs and lifts / on the way down: stairs on the street);
  •  markings for work places (it will be formally forbidden to move furniture);
  •  do not use the direct access materials but request them in the catalogue;
  •  use the disinfectant wipes provided to clean your place before and after your visit.

Work areas have been marked out and it is strictly forbidden to move furniture.

The rooms will be completely cleaned in the morning before opening.

An on-site consultation service for documents located on rue Saint Guillaume (closed stacks and reading rooms) will be offered . The documents will be sent to the place you have reserved. Requests can be made from the Catalogue. The material conditions having been fulfilled, it is now possible to loan the requested documents at home for the above-mentioned categories.

Returns of documents will be made only in the book box set up in front of the doors of 27.
The books will be collected, treated, set aside and put back on the shelves at the end of this prophylactic isolation.

These rules will apply to the library from 18 May onwards and may be adapted if government guidelines and the health situation should change.
