Digitised Collections

Digitisation is one of the flagship projects of the Sciences Po Library. It enables the institution to preserve its document heritage, to raise its profile, and to constitute digital collections for teaching and research.

Heritage Collections

Some of the unique documents in our heritage collections – for instance the “Constitution de la République française du 23 frimaire an VIII, 1799” or the “25e anniversaire de l'École libre” by Émile Boutmy, dating from 1896 – have been digitised. They are accessible to readers around the world on the Internet Archive site, to which many prestigious libraries in France and abroad contribute.

Press Clipping Files

Between 1945 and 2005, the Sciences Po Library has created over 18,000 press clipping files on contemporary politics, economics, society and culture, in France and in every country and region of the world.

The earliest part of the collection (1945-1970 for the most part, all countries and regions and international relations) has been digitised with support from the city of Paris and the BNF. Thus, more than 4,200 files are consultable in the digital collection of press clipping files.

Electoral Archives

In collaboration with CEVIPOF, the library is in the process of digitising electoral archives from 1958 to 2002 and making them available on the Internet Archive site.
