Prof. Dr. Thitinan Pongsudhirak is Professor of International Relations at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, and Senior Fellow at its Institute of Security and International Studies.

Our Franco-German Observatory regularly invites key actors from the Indo-Pacific and other influential stakeholders to present their vision of the region, how they conceive of it geo-strategically and the place of China, the US, and Europe within this framework. We look forward to discussing questions of a strategic nature, of economic interdependence and independence, and the expectations the countries of the Indo-Pacific might have towards the “West.”
