2019 US Sciences Po Alumni Award to Maëlle Gavet

The Sciences Po American Foundation is honoring an Alumna whose professional success embodies the values of excellence of Sciences Po.

Maëlle Gavet, COO, Compass /, will receive the 2019 US Sciences Po Alumni Award from Frédéric Mion, President of Sciences Po.

Maëlle Gavet is a celebrated global tech leader and an instrumental force behind scaling Compass. As Chief Operating Officer, she is responsible for overseeing its business operations.

Before Compass, Maelle oversaw the global operations at The Priceline Group, where she was responsible for delivering on the company’s strategy and integrating its six multinational brands. Prior to that, she was CEO of Russia’s largest e-commerce site, Ozon, and a principal at The Boston Consulting Group.

A passionate advocate for women in tech, Maëlle was called one of “the world’s most powerful women to watch,” by Forbes, and is the executive sponsor for Women of Compass. She is also an outspoken thought-leader around cultivating empathy in tech as she firmly believes “what makes a great company is not a great product, it’s the great people who build the great product.”

Maëlle was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, one of Fortune's 40 Under 40 and one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company. A native of France, Maëlle holds degrees from The Sorbonne, ENS, and Sciences Po.
