ESM Chief Economist Rolf Strauch: Global trends shaping

The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) Chief Economist Rolf Strauch gave a lecture to students of the master's degree in finance and strategy. 

In his speech, Rolf Strauch addressed the four main long-term challenges in Europe: climate change, geo-political fragmentation, ageing and (income) inequality. How do affect the European economy and its member states?

It was such a unique opportunity for all the students to discuss about the issues that affected the EU. They understood why The ESM has played a crucial role in managing the current shocks and the long-term challenges.
