Réjane Sénac
Réjane Sénac is a CNRS Research Director at the Centre for Political Research at Sciences Po (CEVIPOF) and the Head of the Department of Political Science.
She is a member of the steering committee of Sciences Po's Gender Studies Programme, and a member of the academic council of the Cité du Genre, Sorbonne-Paris-Cité Alliance' Gender Studies Network. She is also part of the editorial board of the European Journal of Politics and Gender and the Cahiers de la lutte contre les discriminations.
Her research combines political theory and a cognitive approach to public policies to examine tensions between republican and liberal notions of equality and freedom, as well as how they intertwine with identity issues. Her focus is on the public justifications of equality policies (parity, diversity, same-sex marriage, etc.) and the principles of justice at play in these policies.
