Understanding Indian Elections

Indian general election will be held in seven phases, from 11 April to 19 May 2019. These elections will constitute the 17th Lok Sabha, the House of the People (the lower House of the Indian bicameral Parliament). Scheduled to be declared on 23 May, the results of the election will express several crucial issues and debates that have been at the heart of the political campaign, some of which very controversial.
