Biography
Marie Labussière studies the links between social stratification and technological change. Her research focuses on the evolution of skills in the labor market, the effects of technological change on wage inequalities and career trajectories, and the ways in which artificial intelligence reshapes social relations at work.
Her work draws on an interdisciplinary approach and quantitative methods, including machine learning, text mining, and predictive modeling. Marie is committed to promoting open and collaborative science as well as research reproducibility. All replication codes for her work are available on Harvard Dataverse and GitHub.
Marie Labussière received her PhD from Maastricht University in 2021. Her doctoral dissertation examined the effects of naturalization on the educational trajectories of children of immigrants in the Netherlands. After completing her PhD, she was a postdoctoral researcher for four years in the Department of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam.
