Bio :

Simon Bittmann is a CNRS tenured sociologist (SAGE-University of Strasbourg). His research focuses on the study of twentieth century U.S., European, and colonial capitalisms, through both sociological and historical lenses, with an special interest in the effect of market interactions on class, racial and gender inequalities. His current research include the exploitation of tenants on the French housing market, gender inequalities within French cinema, and racial capitalism within the colonial rubber industry.
