Quentin RAMOND

Ph.D. in Sociology, LIEPP/OSC
(thesis defended in November 2019)

LIEPP-Sciences Po, OSC

Bio :

Quentin Ramond is a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies, University of Chile, Santiago.

Quentin holds a PhD in sociology under the direction of Marco Oberti, and is working both with the LIEPP and the OSC laboratories. His areas of focus are urban inequalities, mechanisms of socio-spatial segregation and methods of cohabitation.

His dissertation examines how local public policies influence localised sociological changes and how they regulate the relationships between different social groups and contrasted neighborhoods. More precisely, He focuses on two areas, housing and education, because they are central to understand social mix issues. He is interested in original and specific urban configurations located in Parisian suburbs, the « mixed income » spaces, and his research constantly articulates different scales of analysis, confronting local and metropolitan dynamics.
