Post-doctoral researcher


Bio :

Oscar Smallenbroek is a post-doctoral researcher at LIEPP since January 2020 in the framework of the social impact assessment of the "Cours d'écoles OASIS", a FEDER UIA project (UIA03-344) aiming at transforming urban spaces to adapt them to climate change. His general interests include stratification, gender and personal values. In the past, he has examined how social structures shape personal values and how these values affect behaviour, including choices about education, occupation, marriage and the division of labour within the household. He received a B.A. in psychology from Carleton University in Canada, an M.Sc. in sociology from the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands, and a Ph.D. from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
