Meng-Hsuan CHOU

Associate Professor at NTU Singapore

Bio :

Meng-Hsuan Chou is an Associate Professor and the Provost’s Chair in Public Policy and Glob-al Affairs at NTU Singapore, where she joined as a Nanyang Assistant professor. 

She received her PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining NTU, she was a postdoctoral fellow at ARENA Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo. Throughout the last decade, Hsuan has held visiting positions at Luiss Guido Carli, Waseda University, University of Helsinki, Princeton University, and the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study. Together with Kim Moloney and Michael Bauer, she is the series co-editor of Transnational Administration and Global Policy, Bristol University Press.

Her research focuses on the transformation of the state through inter-state and inter-regional poli-cy cooperation in areas of contemporary salience such as migration, academic mobility, higher education, and food. During her stay at LIEPP, Hsuan will be working on a new research agenda looking into the politics of “deservedness” in the on-demand food delivery sector.
