LIEPP call for projects 2025
“Interdisciplinary evaluation of gender policies”

The Laboratoire interdisciplinaire d'évaluation des politiques publiques ((LIEPP) is launching a call for projects in partnership with Sciences Po's gender studies programme (PRESAGE) and Université Paris Cité's Cité du Genre, on the theme of the interdisciplinary evaluation of gender policies. This call for projects is part of LIEPP's partnership with Université Paris Cité (UPCité).

This call for projects aims to promote the development and enhancement of interdisciplinary academic work on the evaluation of public policies relating either to the design, implementation and effects of public policies explicitly focused on gender (gender equality, equal pay, work-life balance, promotion of women's and girls' rights, gender identity and LGBTQI+ issues), which come under the LIEPP's “Discrimination and categorical policies” axis, or on the gendered effects of public policies targeting other themes such as social, fiscal, migration, health, education or environmental policies, depending on their field of research. In addition, projects focusing on the experience of gender inequalities will be considered if they establish an explicit link with public action and its implications for the analysis of gender policies.

Contributions must be interdisciplinary, as the call is broadly open to all disciplines that can contribute to reflection on public action (data science, design, law, economics, geography, history, psychology, public health, education sciences, management sciences, environmental sciences, life sciences, political science, sociology, etc.). Two types of project may be submitted: research projects and systematic reviews of interdisciplinary literature.

Each project must be led by one or two researchers, at least one of whom must be a tenured researcher whose main affiliation is with a Sciences Po or Université Paris Cité laboratory. Funded projects will last a maximum of 24 months.

We recommend that those interested in this call for projects contact the LIEPP team [liepp@sciencespo.fr] and the heads of the research areas as soon as possible to indicate their wish to submit a project, by sending a short message with the subject [Call for LIEPP projects]. The LIEPP team will be on hand to answer any questions they may have and to help them set up their project (in particular to strengthen interdisciplinarity and set up the budget).

Projects may be submitted in French or English.

Projects must be submitted by 9 June 2025 at the latest, using the online application form.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The results will be announced in mid-July, and projects will be able to start in September 2025.
