Olivier Monso completed his studies in social sciences at ENSAE and ENS Cachan before joining Insee, the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies. In 2011, he moved to the Directorate of Evaluation, Forecasting and Performance Monitoring (DEPP), the statistical service of the Ministry of National Education. There, he serves as an expert in the analysis of educational inequalities. He is involved in several research projects focusing on comparisons between public and private education, social diversity, and territorial disparities in education. He also works on developing methodological tools for research and for steering the education system.
Olivier Monso is a member of the LIEPP (Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policies), in the Educational Policies research group.
