Research on discrimination has experienced a particular growth in France since the early 2000s. Empirical studies attest the magnitude of unequal treatment on the basis of sex, origin, religion, skin color, sexual orientation, disability in different contexts of social interactions (labor market, housing market, schooling, administration, police, justice, etc.).
