Welcome sessions of the School of Research – Thursday, 28 August 2025
The School of Research is delighted to welcome its new students at its formal opening ceremony, which will take place on Thursday 28 August 2025 from 12pm to 2.30pm in the Jacques Chapsal Amphitheatre (27 rue Saint-Guillaume).
This inaugural event will mark the official launch of the academic year and will give students and PhD students, the opportunity to meet the teaching staff, discover the School's main areas of focus, and discuss their expectations for the programme.
In the presence of Dina Waked, Dean of the School of Research, the Heads of Studies, and the entire team of the School Research.
Following the official opening ceremony, orientation meetings for each Master's programme will be held at various locations on campus:
- Master in Economics
by Pierre-Philippe Combes – Room H405, 28 rue des Saints-Pères - Master in History
by Marion Fontaine – Room 933, 9 rue de la Chaise - Master in Sociology
by Jérôme Pélisse – Room J208, 13 rue de l'Université - Master in Political Science
by Thierry Balzacq – Jacques Chapsal Lecture Hall (following the opening ceremony)
Political Science Major Orientation Meetings
Also from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., students in the Master's programme in Political Science will attend orientation meetings for their major in the following rooms (27 rue Saint-Guillaume):

First-year PhD students' orientation meeting
First-year PhD students are invited to an orientation meeting led by Dina Waked and Arnaud Dereggi on Thursday, 28 August, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in room 31 at 27 rue Saint-Guillaume.
Welcome reception in the garden
After the welcome sessions, a reception will be held in the garden at 27 rue Saint-Guillaume. This will be a friendly opportunity for students, teachers and teaching staff to continue their discussions.
